The Conceptual Investigations Unit is focused on helping people to think more clearly about questions facing society regarding climate, economic development, and the environment. and societal questions.
We typically focus on problems that are global and multi-decadal in scale.
Why “conceptual investigations”?
Many of the most important choices facing humanity require decision-making under deep uncertainty and involve people with differing values, beliefs and objectives. Making good choices will often depend on a shared conceptual understanding of the challenges we face, moreso than detailed quantitative numbers.
